The Bilz pressure control is the ideal addition to applications that do not need automatic level control. Instead of filling the air springs manually, they are connected to a constant compressed air supply. The working height of the individual insulators can each be individually set with one pressure regulator.

The mechanical pneumatic level control MPN-LCV with our robust LCV proportional valves is a simple but effective solution to prevent tilting as a result of load changes. The target level is adjusted by turning the knurled adjustment ring and is maintained with an accuracy of ± 1/10 mm.

If the surface of the FAEBI® element is not completely covered by the bottom edge of the machine or the installation surface, an appropriate cover is required to ensure sufficient load distribution across the air spring. A hood will also provide protection from external damage. For outdoor use, the cover is additionally equipped with a protective sleeve that protects against UV radiation and splashing water.

Task
For deep‑drawing processes and applications in which material feeding or removal is carried out using automation systems such as robots, presses are required that can deliver high forces with precision and flexibility. At the same time, different stroke motions and complex motion profiles must be achieved. This generates vibrations that are transmitted to the surroundings, affecting buildings, other machines, and people.

Solution

Boschert GmbH + Co KG in Lörrach is one of the leading manufacturers of sheet metal machines. Task
Boschert’s Multipunch is a universal and flexible punching machine for various sheet metal processing tasks. Another punching machine, the CombiLaser with its advanced plasma cutting technology, cuts thin sheet metals to the highest quality. For both machines, vibrations must be reduced to the minimum as they influence the accuracy of the work machining and thereby directly affect the quality of the products.

Solution
FAEBI® rubber air springs from Bilz have been used for many years for successful shock and vibration suppression of machines, appliances and aggregates. The construction design enables highly effective shock and vibration insulation without the disadvantage of excessive horizontal deflection. A collapse of the element due to overload or sudden pressure drop is impossible. Due to anti-slip plates on the base plate of the spring elements, additional floor anchoring is usually not necessary.
