At IMTS 2024 in Chicago, Zygo showcased its latest optical profiling technology, including the NX2 non-contact optical profiler, presented by Michael Schmid, Senior Product Development Manager for Zygo’s optical profiler team.
The NX2 combines Zygo’s decades of experience in non-contact optical metrology and is designed for highly precise surface measurements in both production environments and cleanrooms.
The Importance of Vibration Isolation
For high-precision optical measurement, even small floor vibrations can affect accuracy.
Zygo uses Bilz vibration isolators to separate the profiler cabinet from the floor and minimise external vibration.
This helps improve:
